Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data LeBretons collects, why we collect it, what we do with it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to this website and to the marketing services we provide to our clients.

1. Who we are

LeBretons (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. We are LeBretons Group Ltd, a private limited company registered in England and Wales under company number 16223918, with its registered office at 606, 12 Communication Row, Birmingham, West Midlands, B15 1DY, United Kingdom.

We are not required to appoint a Data Protection Officer and have not appointed one. For any question about this policy or your data, contact us at sales@lebretons.co.uk.

2. The data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

• Details you give us. Your name, email address, telephone number, company name and anything else you choose to include when you submit a form, book a call, or email us.
• Booking details. The date and time you select for a strategy call, and any notes you add to that request.
• Correspondence. Records of messages and calls between us.
• Technical and usage data. IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed and time spent. This is collected automatically and is generally only linked to you if you also identify yourself.

We do not deliberately collect special category data (such as health, religious or political information). Please do not include such information in messages to us.

3. Why we use it, and our lawful basis

• To respond to your enquiry and arrange a call. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who approach us.
• To provide services under a contract. Where you become a client, we process data to perform that contract.
• To send marketing. Where you have consented, or where you are an existing client and the message concerns similar services, based on our legitimate interest in promoting our business. You can opt out at any time.
• To operate, secure and improve the website. Based on our legitimate interest in running a functional, secure site, and on your consent for any non-essential cookies.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations. Based on compliance with a legal obligation.

4. Cookies and analytics

This website does not use cookies. We do not set cookies of our own, we do not run analytics or advertising tracking, and we do not load third-party scripts that would set cookies on your device. There is nothing for you to consent to or opt out of, which is why you will not see a cookie banner.

If we introduce analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before any non-essential cookie is set.

5. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with organisations that help us run this website, and only so far as they need it:

• Netlify. Netlify hosts this website and processes the enquiry forms on it. When you submit a form, the details you enter are transmitted to and stored by Netlify before reaching us.
• Professional advisers such as our accountants or lawyers, where genuinely necessary.
• Authorities or other bodies, where we are required to disclose information by law.

If we later engage another processor — a CRM, scheduling or email marketing tool — we will update this policy to name it before it starts handling your data.

6. Transfers outside the UK

Netlify is based in the United States, so personal data submitted through this site is transferred outside the United Kingdom. For that transfer we rely on the International Data Transfer Addendum to the European Commission's standard contractual clauses, together with appropriate safeguards, as set out in Netlify's data processing terms.

We do not transfer personal data to any other country.

7. How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become clients: 24 months from your last contact with us.
• Client records: for the duration of the engagement and 6 years afterwards, to meet legal and accounting requirements.
• Marketing contacts: until you unsubscribe or ask us to erase your details.

8. Security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections and restricted access to systems. No transmission over the internet can be guaranteed completely secure, and any transmission is at your own risk.

9. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• ask us to erase your data in certain circumstances;
• ask us to restrict how we use it;
• object to processing based on our legitimate interests;
• object to direct marketing at any time;
• receive certain data in a portable format; and
• withdraw consent at any time, where we rely on consent.

10. Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK supervisory authority, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

11. Other websites

Our site links to websites we do not control. This policy does not apply to them, and we are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

12. Children

Our services are aimed at businesses. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last revised. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to tell you.
